Mind and Body

“If the mind can heal the body but the body can’t heal the mind then the mind must be stronger than the body.”
– A Course In Miracles

You can eat all the kale, do all the workouts but if you aren’t nourishing and growing your mind, you will suffer. I started yoga for the physical reasons and kept returning for what it did for my mental health. A yoga class is often a moving meditation so when working out an issue in my head I take it to the mat. As I move and match my breath the synchronicity of my body and mind through the vehicle of breath is calmed and cleared.

So what have you done for your mental health today? Have you meditated or even just spent a few minutes alone in silence?

Challenge yourself to do something every day this week for your mental health. So whether it’s goal oriented, like visualizing your goals accomplished or meditating, take just 5-10 minutes a day this week and see how you feel.
