Garden or Graveyard

โ€œThe things that we bury can tell you a lot about who we are. The difference between a garden and a graveyard is only what we chose to put in the soil.โ€ ~Rudy Francisco

I feel this quote in my bones. On full and new moons I like to take time and journal. I love this quote for journaling on this eve of the full, blood moon and lunar eclipse.

So what are you burying? Are you hiding unhealthy patterns, negative or competitive mindsets? Are you letting the highlight reel of others define your not enough-ness? Take time today to journal out what you hide. Look at all the โ€œdarkness.โ€ Now imagine someone you love dearly and unconditionally (yes, you can use your dog, just imagine harder ๐Ÿ˜‰ ), and imagine they just wrote this journal entry. You still love them donโ€™t you? Perhaps even more because their โ€œdarknessโ€ is even endearing to you. You ARE just as loved. Your darkness is just as forgivable and LOVABLE.

Now journal down what GOOD things you bury. Maybe you are a SUPER fast learner and can pick up any task quickly. Maybe youโ€™re amazing at sensing when someone in a group feels hurt or left out and you help them feel connected. Maybe itโ€™s a talent you are TOO humble about. Plant those seeds of love, gratitude and forgiveness for yourself.
