Inflammation Reduction

Steam distilled from the root, Turmeric essential oil has a warm, earthy, and woody aroma. Turmeric also helps support healthy glucose & lipid metabolism, enhances cellular antioxidant enzymes, supports healthy nervous & cellular function, and supports anti-inflammatory processes. Quite the powerhouse oil. It can be used internally (taken through the digestive system), aromatically (smelling), or topically (on your skin).

The chemistry of turmeric is high in ar-Turmerone and Turmerone. According to a study done in Germany, Both in vitro and in vivo data suggest that ar-turmerone induces NSC proliferation. Ar-turmerone thus constitutes a promising candidate to support regeneration in neurologic disease.

I take this oil internally in a gel capsule (1-2 drops) daily to help my mental focus feel sharp and protect my body against the inflammation I know I’m going to put it through. If I'm having a high pain day or a day where I'm feeling extra sore I put a couple drops in a veggie cap with some lemongrass and copaiba and it helps charge me back to myself.

Turmeric is super yummy adding one drop  to almond milk and honey, steam and make a turmeric latte. Same amazing benefits in a yummy cup. Any recipe that calls for turmeric can be used with this oil and you use much less than the dry powder.

Adding turmeric to my bath or body/face scrub is one of my favorite ways to reduce unevenness and dullness in the skin (plus the anti-inflammatory support helps my achey muscles in the bath as well). Try putting a drop in your hands with a little jojoba oil and dry brush the body before a shower. When those muscles are sore take a bath with Epsom salts, some deep blue oil and lemongrass and then add turmeric.

What's your favorite way to use turmeric?
