Upside Down

A wise friend once told me, when you’re having a bad day, just stand on your head. Since headstand is not in my personal practice I chose any inversion (where your head is below your heart) to my routine and voilá! Day= Better. Looking at the world from a different perspective, like upside down, can help to illuminate what we previously refused to see. 

So if you’re having a bad day, relax, try an inversion and try to see your bad mood, as it’s opposite. Whatever is upsetting you, what is the exact opposite? What does that scenario look like? What emotions does it bring up? Now what are you not seeing about the situation right now? 


If you don’t gain clarity or change those grumpy pants, at the very least, you did your body good with an inversion.
