Too Much Fun in the Sun?

It’s that time of year where we are getting out for fun in the Sun. For some of us that can mean some redness and discomfort after TOO much fun. The normal go-to solution is grabbing your bottle of aloe vera gel for some quick relief.
What’s in your aloe? Check the ingredient list. Can you pronounce it? Does it contain alcohol in it (sounds fun on a burn right?)?
Essential oils can help soothe the skin and support the cells to turnover to start the healing process
My favorite combo is:
15 Drops of lavender
15 Drops of peppermint
10 Drops of frank
10 Drops of melaleuca
10 drops of fractionated coconut oil
(And for those that have yarrow POM, this is also one I love to add to the mix or with coconut oil after a shower).
I like to use a 4 oz spray bottle and I add aloe vera juice (most stores and drug stores sell it, some for skin and some for consumption but either works).
Keeping the bottle or container in the fridge helps the aloe vera juice to stay stable and feels amazing on the skin going on.
