Honesty

"A child will look anyone in the eye and say, ’This game is no longer fun,’ and simply stop playing it. Without hesitation. Without guilt. And we should still be doing the same thing. With bad lovers, bad friends, bad jobs….with the hate we have for ourselves.”
~Erin Van Vuren

Sometimes the best advice comes from those not old enough to read or write. How often do we take on projects, jobs, favors only to please others or not make a fuss? Living our lives as if they are not our own and ours to dictate.
In yoga we used this quote as an intention during our practice. We focused on what feels good and leaned in a little deeper. Trying not to let the mind and body go on auto pilot but truly examining how the body felt and adjusting to lean into what feels good.

Try challenging yourself to find the fun and notice where you can drop activities, mindsets and inner thoughts that are no longer FUN in the next few days.

This shake up of our “normal" is such a perfect time to examine what in your life do you truly enjoy. What brings that spark of joy to your life?
