The King of Oils

Frankincense.
There are SO many reasons why it is called the king of all oils.
“When in doubt, frankincense,” is a motto I heard early on with my experience with oils. Frankie, as some of my friends and I lovingly call it, helps reduce inflammation among many uses. For my chronic head pain sufferers, this is a MAJOR life saver. Even with chronic migraines science only knows that migraines cause generalized brain inflammation of unknown etiology. Enter frankincense. Frankie, which can cross the blood, brain barrier, decreases inflammation, so taken internally (a drop to the soft palate) or on the temples can help relieve head tension and pain. Taken daily internally (just a drop on the tongue) morning and night can help ward off these nasty head pains.
Inflammation and pain reduction and support are just one area. Skin and hair care (when used internally OR topically) get a dramatic makeover with the addition of Frankie.
The Frankincense touch is a slightly diluted easy roll on option for easy application especially on the skin (for that perfect glow) or kids and pets. In fact, my female pit bull’s favorite oil is Frankie. She loves the smell and we use it daily on her joints and hips.
One of my personal favorite ways to use frankincense for myself is in meditation and yoga. It helps me ground in, focus and feels good on the muscles.
